This course will provide the user with valuable information regarding the ability to make a citizen's detention or citizen's arrest, when it might be acceptable and legal to make that detention, what methods can be used to make that detention, what should be done before and after the detention, what types of facts should be documented, what are the legal issues surrounding searching and pat downs of guests and what the law enforcement response might be to this citizen's detention.
Finally, this course will also discuss what the legal issues might be related to an improper detention or the use of excessive force during a citizen's detention.
